ABOUT SAINT KIZITO'S HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION (SKHSAA), IWOPIN
A Brief Historical Background of Saint Kizito’s High School Alumni Association, Iwopin, Ogun Waterside, Ogun state, Nigeria.
On July 18, 2017, Dr Mrs Kemi Sanni and I communicated for the first time via SMS, about the need for an active Alumni for St Kizito's School, Iwopin. That conversation between Mrs Kemi Sanni and I was made possible through Mr Isaac Olofi who connected us together.
On July 22, 2017: Dr Mrs Kemi Sanni created the Officers Whatsapp Group Forum known as 'Kizitos Reunion Officers.' This was meant only for those who were Head/Senior Boy and Head/Senior Girl or Senior Prefects (SP).
This was later followed by the creation of the General Whatsapp Group Forum known as 'St.Kizito's Alumni.' This was meant for all former students of the school, and we had over 100 people on board then.
After series of communication and discussion, beginning from July 2017, especially through the General Group Forum on Whtsapp, we got the association working with the election/appointment/formation of Caretaker Committees members.
On 3 November, 2017, Mr Isaac Olofi created for the Association the Whatsapp Group Forum specifically for the Caretaker Committee Members, which was to enable them work on line too. The whatsapp group is known as ’St Kizito's A A Caretakers.'
However, work on the formation of the Old Students Association of St Kizito's High School, Iwopin dates back to 2012. Though the Association was said to have been formed then, but it didn't survive for long. The association couldn't function as expected.
The one FORMED in 2017 has taken a good shape, and it is still working.
Three Achievement so far:
1. The Formation of the Caretaker Committee
2. The Drafting of the Association's Constitution
3. The Opening of an Account for the Association
4. Our Alumni has been registered with the Nigeria Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), as a non-profit organization.
The advantage of this registration is for us as an organization to have LEGAL backing, meaning that we are operating within the laws of Nigeria.
May God bless the work of our hands.
May God grant us success in all our endeavours.
Long Live St Kizito's High School, Iwopin.
Long Live our Alumni/Association
Your brother and Member.
